I have a 1983 Travelcraft and I want to have the exterior aluminum skin restored as it is delaminating.  I live in Minneapolis Minnesota and would like to find someone that is relatively close that specializes in such a task.  I would be interested in feed back from someone that has had a good experience.

Hello?

Mark, I am sorry you have no answers yet, delamination is not something that I have seen in discussions on the group.  I did a quick google using "aluminum delamination repair" and came up with several hits which may be of help to you. Also, do not give up on the group because so many people only check in occassionally and someone is sure to see your request.  You can also go to the top right hand corner of the page and search for delamination on this site.  I hope that you can use this info.

Mark, restoration of aluminum skin is a highly specialized skill. I will look for some companies but am not aware of anyone in Minneapolis. That doesn't mean that there aren't any however.

Suggest you contact by calling high end restoration companies like Sierra Trailer Restoration or Flytecamp.com  at

They may have references for you.  There is also a company outside Denver and I am trying to find their contact information.     Hmmm, another thought is to contact your insurance agent. Most have a list of local rv restoration companies that they can refer you to.

When you find one let please post it here and "tag" it with "Aluminum RV restoration" or similar.

I sincerely appreciate your feedback, I will look into these resources and follow up as I find out more info.
