I must have been doing something wrong with the phone, over half the pictures I took (or thought I took LOL) are not there. I just have the beginning and the problems I found at the end. Everything in the middle is AWOL.

This was not a project where the cabinets would be in any shape to be used again even if I had wanted to use them again. I found 6 or 8 screws attaching the ceiling insulation and paneling to the cabinets. That's right, they were run from the top down.

Then there was all the usual screws running form the cabinets to the walls and into the other attaching cabinets. PLUS there was an assortment of staples. Most of those were the type that had 1" legs--I estimate that the number of staples was just shy of a bazillion. Gotta love guys with pneumatic staplers, they go nuts putting staples in. Must be a combination of the sound and the smell of air gun oil LOL.

From start to finish this little removal project lasted for 6.5 hours.

When I finally got the cabinets removed it was time to start removing the rotten ceiling paneling. Come to find out, the panels are glued to the insulation. This was a shocker for me. All the articles I read on GORV and the YouTube videos I watched nowhere was it ever mentioned about finding the ceiling panels glued to the insulation.

Thus starting tomorrow I will be tediously removing the ceiling panels trying very hard not to destroy the insulation.  When that is done I will tackle getting the passenger seat removed so I can then get at the wall to remove that paneling and replace any rotted out wood.

More of the fun and games coming up. Be safe all in all your travels.

Sounds like you have your hands full Russ, good luck on your project.

Thanks Rich,

It is going to be quite the mess for a while. I think we are going to skip this camping season so I can get a handle on the MMP and be ready to go when the weather cools down or even during the winter. Maybe I can get DW to agree to go to the gulf coast. If not the MMP will be rarin to go next spring.
