Recently I drove into a RV Park in Oregon and went into the office to sign up on their waiting list and they were quick to show me a sign saying your RV must be 2003 or newer to be accepted into the park. I quickly reminded him that I just drove in and I didn't even see one RV that was 2003 or younger. He said they were already here when the new rule was put into effect. I wasn't even in my RV, I drove in in my car. The unfairness of this policy, which many parks have struck me as a constant problem for vintage RV's with exceptions of the retro's. Then he said well if you drive your RV in and we can look at it, we may approve it. I'm not a trouble maker but I couldn't help but wonder if these policies have bee challenged in court by anyone and if so what was the decision of the court. If I took pictures of the RV's in their park and showed them to a judge I can't imagine him not laughing the owners out of the courtroom. I fully endorse privately owned parks being able to set their own rules but the bottom line is it's not a rule per se but a reason to arbitrate you depending on your looks and appearance of your RV. Any feed back?

Unfortunately most of the parks are being purchased by company's trying to monopolize them as luxury resorts. This intern allows them to charge more and set guidelines for newer RV's. Newer Rv's means the owners  of the RV's would seem to have more money to spend in the "Resorts". They do not take into consideration the amount of money we spend in upgrades and  maintenance in the things we love..This in itself would dictate that we should not visit any campground with these restrictions in place..and start sending letters of complaint and discrimination to  the local officials and trade magazines. First stop BBB. Perhaps a petition and copies should be sent to the parks......

Try Kalifornia,, your rig cant be over 5 years old,,,, They got to uppity and only want billion dollar rigs to relax in their run down wanna be resorts and charge you out the nose for a simple over night stay,, even the state parks are going high class...But no worries,, Kalifornia is trying to become its own country and you will need a visa to visit..

We got turned down to STORE our RV in a FIELD - no kidding - grass and dirt - because the park had extended the rule to their storage lot!
