Today was a mixed bag. I found more water logged wood and insulation all under the long window. Removed everything down to the floor and I hope that there is enough air circulation now to dry out the 18 to 24 inches below the floor. This part of the repair is going to take some thinking. Part of it is accessible from under the MMP, but most of it is not.
There is the main floor, a sub floor, then the wall runs lower to accommodate the basements. It was too hot and humid today, and I was too wore out from the inside tearing apart, to crawl under there to scope out the possibilities.
I will have to hold off on putting the inside back together again till I figure out how to tighten up the lower portions. No sense in fixing the top if the bottom is still loose and flapping in the wind tearing up all that I have fixed above it.
Anyway, enjoy the pictures of all the wet wood and insulation I pulled out today. It is scary to think that just a couple of pieces of metal an lots of glue is all that holds the outside onto the frame.
