Hello everyone. My name is Jeff. I am a proud owner of a 1983 Silver Eagle, owned by Trailways. It is powered by a 8v71 series Detroit Diesel .5 speed manual tranny.I finally got a little time off of work and decided to take the seats out of my bus. I didn't realize there were so many bolts that would be froze solid. Any way, I did get them all out and have all my seats in one row inside the bus. I don't know if I should just take them to the salvage yard and sell them at scrap price or try to find someone to buy them. Anyone have any suggestions? I would keep them but I really don't have anywhere to store them. I am hoping to start on the floors next week if I have time. This is my first time at converting a bus to an rv. So, I figure it will take me some time. I have owned and renovated 2 of my last 3 rvs. I decided to find an old bus and make it my new project. So far I have bought 2 roof top A/C units, a 7000 Onan Marquis Generator, A fridge (gas/electric), a inverter/converter charger. I have a long way to go but, it's a start.

Thank you very much Pat  for the info and the nice compliment on the bus. I will be posting pics as I build the conversion.

Very cool! Definitely post your progress.

As far as the seats go - I don't know if they'd be of value to anyone. Best way to find out is to put an ad on Craigslist. If no one wants them, you know what to do! I'd keep a bunch around, though, to keep your seating options open. You can get creative with them.

Thank you Jim. I will put some on CL tonight. And keep a few just incase. I will take pics as I go through out my build.
