FOR SALE BY OWNER (BOISE)

You’ve been lookin’ for it; …this is it!  A real classic, 1971 Chevrolet Custom 30 O.E.M. FACTORY MOTORHOME, has a 157” wheel base and GVW 14,000# capacity on a Heavy Duty, Dual Rear Wheel 1-Ton Chassis!  These are scarce (as hell); with a ‘cool factor’, that is pretty much off the charts!  Sleeps 6 comfortably, so whether that equates to a large family or a busy guy with five wives makes no difference to me.  Hey, BYU comes to town, Sept. 20, I understand they tailgate too!  The camper portion on this 71’ was manufactured for Chevrolet from the Salt Lake City based manufacturer, El Rancho and has extremely cool lines to it versus some of the other box styles.
Asking $7,800.00 OBO for this killer home on wheels!
For general identification purposes,  Vin # CE331J617663, / (Model CE31403).  Background:  I purchased this clean vehicle from the 2nd owner in Brigham City, Utah whom enjoyed this O.E.M. RV with his family for over 15 years himself.  This is a sound, documented 128,378 mile vehicle that spent its high-desert life in AZ, UT and recently ID.  She burns a little oil, but not bad for her age and gets 10 miles/gallon whether you’re pulling a boat or not.  The cab is in fantastic shape as well, and it does not appear to have ever been in any collision and the rocker are solid and rust free.  I’m not certain, but believe the dual tank total capacity is around 75 gallons?  She’s equipped with dual exhaust, 4-season A/C, power steering, power brakes, full foam ‘bucket seats’, a Sony 45Wx4 CD-R/RW CD player, towing hitch and trailer braking package with aux. springs, dual deep-cycle RV batteries under hood, (always starts right up), multiple storage compartments that lock, along with an additional custom generator and/or lockable storage box welded on the back that maintain the factory appearance.  The stock front chrome bumper and grill are also in excellent shape.  Total length is 26’ including custom storage box on back.  Are you ready to go to Bonneville Salt Flats in style?
NOTE:  I received a quote to power wash, etch, and prime and repaint the cab exterior with a fresh coat of enamel in her original “Medium Blue”, and a two tone with pinstripes scheme on the cab for $1500.00; to provide one with a quick understanding of how quickly and relatively inexpensively this unit could go from looking not only cool, but fantastically cool.  Also, if restoring to cherry one would want to replace dash and steering wheel as they have cracked, and shrank over the years, but can easily be replaced new at LMC truck, etc. (Not a lot of info available on this vehicle as they are very scarce.  Notice the Custom 30’s CE31403 code is not even included in the ‘oldride’ link below; there are not a lot of these out there folks. The inside is extremely roomy, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
