That sounds exactly like us! The more we uncovered, the more we realized we'll have to fix. It is kind of overwhelming, but I don't think it is beyond our ability (at least I hope it isn't!). Thanks for the recommendation. We'll check our Kevin's page.

I hate to say it Mandy, but that is the way our camper started out. We gutted the interior and then I thought I would replace some of the damaged 2x2's. The further I got into it I was surprised how it was actually staying attached and not just blowing completely off driving it down the road.

I am down to the bare metal frame right now and I need to start my rebuild. I think it will be worth it plus I am getting quite an education at the same time. :o)

If you want to see someone else who is in the middle of their rebuild and doing an excellent job check out Kevin Quillan's page. His work looks fantastic.

Thanks! We've never owned a camper before, so we have no expertise either. We have gutted one end (tongue-end) because it had rotted wood from water damage. It looks do-able within our limited experience though. Now that the weather is warming up we will begin restoration in earnest. I really love it's 1970s look.

I'm just starting with my first travel trailer, so I have no expertise - yet.  but this does look nice.  it definitely has possibilities.

Who else has done a restoration on a 70s-something Prowler?
