Unwanted water bed!!!!!!

Got up to roof level at the weekend and found one of the top market lights was loose ( screws had broken ) and it was sitting proud of the bodywork, not a good idea when there's an inch diameter ho...

Fantastic actually supplies a foam gasket with their fans-I've use them a couple of times with Dicor over the screw heads and flange. It seems if the company gives you a gasket-it should work...otherwise, regular putty tape will be fine between th...

Clutch heads? As above, they look like bow ties...Ace hardware can get you a bit.

Can you post a photo of them?

If they are square -no problem ,almost any store ,Sears ,HomeDepot,Lowes. will have them---another from the 60-70's almost looks like a bowtie ---------used on every fitting in my Starcraft from 1977-a bit harder to find, have a original screwdrive...

Are they square looking screws? If so any auto parts stores will have bits and drivers for them. Ed

Ah! I wish I had known about that then!! Everyone I asked said silicone. I will add Dicor to my list for any future repairs!! Thank you! I'm getting ready to put a Fantastic Fan in my van. Do you have any recommendations on putty for that install...

If I were there I could find your leak. But at first look I would automatically suspect that your front window was put in with the factory sealing tape. (its garbage) There is a black butel tape that is commonly used in cars when the winshield is ...

I would pull the window and install new putty tape under the flange. That will also give you a chance to inspect the framing around the window. Also, the edge trim and roof cap seam are very bad for leaking. If you can take the edge trim loose and...

Ah....that's where one of my big leaks was - near the window. That area flexes A LOT. I had a 73 El Dorado - and loved it. Wish I still had it. Yep. Dry it totally out - under cover/roof if possible. There's some wonderful wood treatment I used (s...

No it's "new" to us, its a 1974 Dodge Sportsman with a Continental body. I have started taking the floor boards out on the top bunk and its very wet. I have found what looks like a hole around the front window and at least one of the top marker/ru...

If it is "New" in the sense it is TOTALLY new, take it back to the dealer. If it is just new to you, and not under warranty you'll be looking for a long time. If it's in your budget take it to an RV place and let them pressurize it/test it. That'l...

I have just made a worrying discovery with our new purchase. I appear to have a leak from somewhere. The water is finding its way between the top bunk floor and the panel just above the cab. As a temporary measure I have drilled a small hole in th...

Good-a picture will help. You may be able to adapt a battery holder from something else. I'm not sure a 1974 part will be available even in a junk yard...wouldn't hurt to look, tho. I don't remember seeing a battery operated sparker on an RV fridge. I do have a battery run glow plug on my kerosene heater. Thanks, VK

Hi Dean, I need a litttle more info on your fridge. What year is it? Do you have a photo of the area that needs a cover? Is it a cover with the spark plug like fitting or a little box with connectors? You might be able to make a sliding cover to lit it manually. It would take two people to light it. VK

Hi Mr. Smith. That's not a stupid question. We all had to learn it also. The good news is it's real simple. For the Black water tank just dump in a mixture of warm water and liquid dishwater soap (not too much soap, just normal) with a 1 cup of r...

Hey, thanks Michael. I really like that pic too. Here's a place we use to hang out in Costa Rica and drink lots of Guaro (rum). We got to watch them haul it in, put it together and turn it into one of the most unique watering holes we've been to....
