Tell us a little About Yourself
Used to have a truck camper on my Ford F100 which we used for weekend camping. It worked rather nice but of course, it didn't have any stove or refrig. It bit the dust when the truck engine died and the camper was mostly rotted to the point I couldn't trust it any more going down the road (I bought it used at an auction for $75 so couldn't complain much, especially after 30 years). It gave us a place out of the rain to sleep, so that was good. We had to haul our Coleman stove for cooking. Everything ended up in plastic bins under the bed.

I have tent camped in the past. Would like to have more comfort while traveling, and the ability to avoid the miserable rain experience of other ways of camping, so a travel trailer seems like a reasonable alternative. Am interested in classic travel trailers but like the idea of a slide out trailer for the extra room (some older Airstreams have a slide out, so might be a possibility). Have been watching Flippin' RVs on TV and really enjoy the restoration process, though right now in my life I don't have the time (but soon, soon...). I work as a computer programmer most of the day so that doesn't leave me much time for any restoration (though, I am considering trying to squeeze it in--I'd hate to have a project last for years and years, though). What I chiefly would need is a good place to work on a trailer, so that is going on the shopping list for the next house we buy. Working under a blue tarp might be a possibility right now, though :)
