Must admit I looked at your trailer online more than once and considered the long drive to California. I, too would like to find another vintage one for our kids and grand kids to use while with us in our Colorado mountain getaway.

Live your dream man
(note: I tend to be a bad influence having opted out of the rate race to go rving a few years back. Gettin fired was the best thing that ever happened to me)

Man, it sounds like it almost time to follow your dream... if u aren't already and the kids are set. they surf too?

Ouch on the board in the face.

Ever surf down the baja??

My last cat was from La Paz, but we called it Muelege... little village on the inside Sea of Cortez

Ya, way kewl rack. i'm trying to modify my new used "test" travel trailer so I can carry 2 sit on kayaks for florida next month. Don't want to drill down thu the usual stupid rubber roof so I think I'll either find or fabricate something which screws into the aluminum sidewall supports, then run the racks... maybe standard old Thule stuff if theirs is wide enough across so I can pitch the kayakas on top.
attached is pick of the 26 trailer. any ideas way welcome.

thanks. pat

Don't think of it as being unemployed, think of it as being free for awhile! U can always pick up a few bucks to get by on working different jobs. besides, you'll meet new people that way.

A surfter dude afraid of sand.... guess that's when u get maytagged? Ha, ha.

Sure, people do flip the shackles on trailers and get away with it... mostly for 4 wheel dry camping. e-mail a few other members that u notice with travel trailers and ask em... or u can post a forum and ask em that way too.

I'll keep a lookout for you if i see one. Meanwhile, have some fun man.

Hey, Welcome steve! Like your idea about goin down the road in a vintage trailer with your jeep. Man, must be some great surfin spots down the baja from you that your jeep would love to sink it's tires into.

Also, where did you get that kewl roof rack on your jeep? Custom.

Check out Jim's Glamis video. He's just south of you a little ways and wayyy into the sand... buggies that is.

STay in touch. pat

I enjoyed your story! It's so true that the things that go wrong make the memories! Sometimes camping bloopers are only funny when they happen to someone else or AFTER they happen to you. Thanks again for the post.

You're welcome Pat. I just hate to see people work so hard work kamping for $4, 5, 6 or even $8 an hour when they can make more than that (twice or more) online and just pay for camping. If you work online you can come and go and stay at whatever ...
