Well I finally went out to get the paint for the Camper Carquest had some real decent colours so I went with a Sky Blue Mattalic which I think is gonna look pretty awesome when done. I can not really believe that I finally went in on buying a Ole Camper with my girlfriend Chris. But we would like to do some camping this year and have some Fun at it.

I can't believe that there is a website that actually helps individuals out with different types of info or suggestions about…

If you love art and Airstreams, check this out

This young lady is an artist who paints pictures of Airstream trailers. These are realistic paintings, not photos! She is amazing!! She is graduating from college next month and going out into the big wide world. She is working on a series of t-shirts, greeting cards and other items - so if you are a bit Airstream fan, bookmark her page for more news! She sells her stuff on ebay...and I'm not sure where else right now...but she has some beautiful work. See… Continue

Our Guess Is

Most parks could reduce operational costs by allowing more volunteers to contribute their talents and energy in the everyday operations of the park. State parks that are closing would be well served to utilize the security of a camp host presence in the park while it is closed. There are a lot of volunteers that would enjoy the peace and quite of a deserted park for a change. Come join with us in getting this message out to the government officials in charge of this situation.… Continue

Tongue Jack

Need new tongue jack for our 1970 Aristocrat LoLiner and of course they don't make the original so you make do with what they have. The problem being the new jack is to long and hits the ground pulling into driveways. Does anybody know it they make shorter ones. Side jack would be great but no room with the toolbox and propane tanks - see my pic keeping it together. It's great seeing this warmer weather and hope everybody is thinking about camping. Thanks - DB

Our first outing this year, 2010

Well after a winter spent working on the Cabana, we actually got make a long weekend trip. Just up to friends in Culp Creek OR. (see photos) There are a number of great parks and such up this way but when you can stay with friends and have a creek just behind the Cabana, and a neighbor like "Cutie" why not.

Our winter list of work was long. We focused on getting things dependable. Front brakes were redone completly from the rubber brake lines to the brake drums and everything…

Engine Repair...

Well...It turns out that we originally had a plugged radiator. This had caused a scorched piston and when I attempted to drive it home, ended up with 4 scorched pistons :( So...the engine is now being rebuilt...$3,500 should just about cover it...

Internet site for finding campgrounds and boondocking sites

There are a lot of RV and camping sites out there and it can be hard to find the one that suits your needs after you figure out the basics. Here's a site I discovered today. It came from a boondocking group I belong to. What I love about it is they give topographical map information. Some of you might like that - particularly if you like to four-wheel or snowmobile or hike etc. They also include a lot of great links to other, little known but very useful sites. All the information on the site… Continue

Yellowstone National Park.................

Does anyone out there know much about camping in or around Yellowstone Park. We are looking to do a camp trip out there, we never have been as a family (i was there when I was 4!) Any and all information would be awesome! All hook ups would be great, or even a place with showers and pool! We know nothing of the area.

Thanks in advance for info and ideas!

Hi there I am a new member to the group, and i have looked through some amazing photo's. I just purchased a 1971 Lark, and would like to know what others may look like. The Leisure Seeker, A new book about an RVing Couple

I love to read. And I do a lot of it - rarely reading a book more than once because there are so many new ones out there demanding my attention!! But I did get to preview "The Leisure Seeker," because I write for Airstream Magazine and the publicist thought the story took place in an Airstream. It doesn't. But she sent me the book anyway and I'm so glad she did. It's WONDERFUL!! It's also NOT for… Continue
