Hi Russell and Berniece,
Thank you for your comment. You are my first conversation I have had on goodoldrvs.ring.com. our destination for our 2015 trip is Florida. It is sure nice to connect with you two.I will keep in touch periodically if that's OK
Happy trails
John and Pam and our 8 month old Pembroke corgi named Roscoe.
Thank you for the warm welcome. We are very happy to have found this group. At the moment we do not have an RV but soon. Scott's brother and sister have a 1984 Winnebago Chieftain we are hoping to purchase and fix up. Can't wait.
We all do whatever is within our capabilities and/or means. Believe me, if I could afford to have people fix my stuff I would. I'm glad you're still able to enjoy the hobby and hope your next trip is trouble free.
Yep. Even though I don't plan to venture far, nor anywhere there's no cell service, I have belts, hoses, antifreeze, fluids, plugs, wires, etc. stowed away. I'd prefer a quick roadside repair to a tow, even with emergency road service.
I've been a Good Sam member on and off for years and also Escapees. I've had Good Sam Emergency Road Service for years but ONLY used them one time. In the RV I wouldn't dare hit the open road without Emergency Road Service and there are several different organizations and clubs that provide it, but which you choose is up to you. HOWEVER one problem is if your out in the boonies like in the middle of Northern Nevada where there's no cell service nor land line phones for miles and you're broke down, getting road service can be a challenge lol That's why you pull service and routine preventive maintenance BEFORE you hit the road plus carry some critical small parts (belts, hoses, ignition module, coil etc) and tools plus a good spare tire and tools to change it.
That's real good to know about the service membership and the offerings on the two clubs that you mention. I think some of the insurance companies offer a road service program also. I hope and pray to the gods I never have to use the road service though. Towing is astronomical these day's.

Thanks. I grew up in NH but came to Libby in 1978. Love this place!
Those road side service's are good if necessary.

Iam looking for tailights for our 1982 Travelmate motorhome. They have 3 lenses and are surface mount. They were very common in the 70 and 80 not made anymore. Looking to purchase a pair.
