Hi Gary, hope your travels are going well! Thanks for posting the pics! We are still plugging away at our Islander...some water damage repair (of course!), ect. Your Dinette and seats look great, I can see past the dirt. I'm not sure if we will be able to wait until October to get the dinette, we may build so we can get her out camping. But the seat will definitely be worth buying from you, probably both of them. I also noticed your steering wheel looks like it may be in better shape than mine, any interest in selling that too? Enjoy the Northwest!
Just read your post to me I had no idea there was a raley at the fair grouds !!! Here it is Aug. too. !!! I am going to check it out Thanks for the info maybe we will see you there.
Gary I think you would like my ole RV i need some help selling it... Its a great ole rig, ive been fixing it up a bit here and there... the awning adds so much! please add me to your friends list.. I want to replace the rubber around the driver and passenger side windows but have no idea where to begin to look for that stuff... for instance...
Hi Gary!! I am so happy to report the "F" Series Mack windshield was a match! We had it installed yesterday and it went great. I am attaching a photo. Thank you so much for your help, and please thank your dad for the tip, it wouldn't have happened without him. If you get any photos of your dinette, I would love to see them. How is the condition of your driver seat? Mine is ripped on one side. Look forward to hearing from you. Thanks again! Jenon
Hi there Gary. I finally found a glass shop that can get the old Mack windshields and is willing to work on the Islander glass. They are ordering windshields that are for 1963-1982 Mack trucks, but they called me this morning and said I need to know what series of Mack. Would your dad happen to remember that? From the research I have done, I am guessing it is the "F" series. In other news...I am continuing the restoration on faith I will get a windshield...I disassembled and removed the bench the previous owner had put in where the table/booth seats used to be...not much of the original left. Is your table still in decent shape in your Islander? If you do scrap the body of the RV, I would love to buy that from you if I could! Otherwise I can make one, but would love to have an original. Please let me know if you or your dad have any ideas on if the "F" series Mack is the match. Thank you so much for your help!
Thanks Gary. Awesome that your dad remembered that, please thank him! I called Safelite and they say they don't have any windshields for 60s model Macks. I am trying to figure out which Mack model it would be. Wish me luck...I'll keep trying!
thanks gary. spending time with my kids is very important. they grow up fast. i am a mechanic, we spend a lot of time repairing tractors, trucks, restoring muscle cars, garden tractor pulling, trap shooting, and just fun stuff. the camper just helps bring it all together. we will post more pics later. i am repacking bearings and getting the outside running lights replaced. new ones were cheap. then to a local campground. thanks for the nice reply. create a great day, brian and family.
Hi Gary, sorry have not gotten back to you, we are so busy here at the bnb. I talked to a man at a local junk yard he seems to think that a late model chevy truck that had 6 lugs might work. I have to go borrow one to take to the repair man and see if they line up, it would be so great if they do. I have already bought the fabrics for the inside and can not wait to start making the cushions and curtains for it. hopefully by fall I will be done may not be able to get the painting done till next spring but that is alright I will drive that little thing anyway. love this site everyone is so nice, Patty
Thank you gary! We hope to be full-timing in a year and we have a 1 year old! We go to pick up our 1970 Winnebago D22 on friday. Needs alot of interior work i'm really excited.
Gary, I just received an email (from Good Old RVs) requesting that I verify my email address. It looks kind of suspicious to me. Is it really from the group?
Thank you for the welcome Gary, I will be updating my profile and adding some photos soon. I am completely new in the RV community but my wife (Judy) and I are quiet excited about getting this show on the road. We have used my brothers RV a couple of times and had more fun than we can describe.

Thanks Gary. We've done Walmart a few times. They say most of them don't mind because they believe it adds to their security. Cindy

Iam looking for tailights for our 1982 Travelmate motorhome. They have 3 lenses and are surface mount. They were very common in the 70 and 80 not made anymore. Looking to purchase a pair.
