- Very cool planes! Looks like it was a really fun event! How do you find out where these events are? I'd like to go to one. Are they just in the west? Like Pat, glad you posted this!

Hey Pat,
Yes, they are all Electric in this event. The first 'jet' you see, that red one, shows a motor simply added to the top of another type plane. Electric Jets, are commonly called EDF. Electric ducted fan. Its like a Jet Ski impeller, only for air. Crazy RPMs and nice thrust.

Super, super cool video Jim. Thanks so much for posting it! What type of engines power the planes? Didn't know that anything electric powered could fly like this. And I guess that the gets have some sort of other power?
