I've been living in my old Winnebago for almost a year now and it's been a really---umm---interesting to say the least. First of all, my income isn't large enough to afford a lot extra besides the necessities and I've spent most of the last year without internet. Of course, no TV either, but I"ve done a lot of reading and a lot of writing. Thank goodness I did have books and my laptop.

I'm now able to have a cell phone hotspot through Cricket so I can get on the internet. I hardly had a chance to get acquainted after I joined here before I had to be offline. I"m glad to be back.

I'm 68 years old and a widow, I don't drive anymore so I live a pretty stationery life out in the country under an old apple tree in my 1979 Winnebago Brave. This is a little campground in an old apple orchard by a school that's now the home of the people who own the campground. My kids and grandkids bring me the things I need and in the meantime, I just spend my time doing my Native American beadwork and doing the things a person does to survive every day.

After thinking I was never going to have the internet again, a lady moved in here who had Cricket with a hotspot and I was thrilled. I got a Cricket phone, and now I have a Chromebook, too, to access the internet with. I was trying to keep up with my email and other internet things for a couple of months with just an AT&T Windows phone but that wasn't really good for keeping up with this forum. I was paying $60 a month for unlimited talk and text and 2.5 gigs of internet with a hotspot. But the lady's Cricket phone had unlimited internet that just slows down after 10 gigabytes and unlimited everything else, too, for $70 a month, which is such a good deal. I'm so glad to be back on the internet.

In spite of lots of things breaking and not working and needing replaced or redone, I love this little old Winnebago and the old apple tree I'm parked under. With the big windows around the back, it looks like I'm living in a tree house when I open all the curtains in the daytime.

I've raised four kids and two grandchildren that I've had since their birth. The grandkids are now 21 and 19 and I have a little great-grandson whose birth I attended. What a beautiful blessing that was! And now he's 2 1/2 and comes to see me just about every Saturday.
