She's home and ready for surgery with long term follow up therapy :)

I have already started the gutting process.  As I stated in a comment earlier, it's not worse than I expected, it's as bad as I expected.  LOL

The water damage is all on one side, but not so bad that it can't be fixed.  I was relieved to see that.

The window on the front overhead will need to be completely resealed.  The metal frame fell off when I removed the cushions.

I'll have more pics later in the week, daylight was dwindling fast here.  The awning will need replacing, it's old, permanently stained and dirty, and there are a couple of small holes in it above the door.  No likey holes.....

I have started to tear down the ceiling tile, but I had to wait for the water to drip out completely.  It's going to take a few days to dry, I have a tall floor fan in there to help the drying process.

The major leak is definitely coming from the awful patch job on the roof antenna, if I were water looking for a place to pool and seep...yep...that's where I would go!  I think I need to remove that antenna completely. It doesn't appear to have been used in a decade and the arms are all bent and kinked anyway.  It's of no real use anymore with the changing of the guards on satellite signals, etc.

Yes, this is bad...but fixable, I think:

First dilemma I ran into was trying to get the crank inside off the ceiling tile.  The screws have been loosened and one actually fell out, but this thing won't budge.  I am not going to keep the ceiling tile, so I'll have to cut the tile off it to see how to dismantle it, unless someone here knows a trick?.  As old as it is, it's probably permanently fused itself in place.  LOL  I am a bit scared at what I will see when I get those tiles off.  Probably won't be any insulation, the mice used it all for a huge nest in the storage area under the seat/bed.  Biggest mousy nest I've ever found.

(BTW, if you notice I miss letters here and there...it's the keyboard on my laptop. It has gotten old and picky wicky when I type)

So.....of course I need to name her.  She's a Dodge....how about "Baby D"...suggestions welcome.

I am so excited to begin this, there is no time limit...that's what will make it enjoyable.  At my leisure, not someone else's time push.

Happy trails everyone.  :)

Hey, regarding mistyped words. My 'a's' frequently come out as 's's'.it happens all the time and I'm so old I forget to check and correct it. I have a flat spot on my finger I guess. I'm not like those kids who can type on their phone with their thumbs. :)

Here ya go, Tina, name her Dodge City. Then you can put a replica 30-30 Winchester right by the door and a big saloon sign over the fridge. LOL

On your antenna  crank, if your not keeping it, a saws all is the tool of choice. aaaa maybe not, but it would work, or if you have a Drimmal tool or a Rotozip  or even a hack saw that handle is pot metal you could saw a groove in it then apply the old hammer and chisel method and it should crack open like an egg shell. good luck

Sounds like a good name to me. I named my Travelcraft the Palace. When you walk inside there is a coat of arms on the wall from the factory so it just fit. I park it in my pole barn my kids promptly named the Garage-ma-hall.

We originally named our MH Betsy. But after many mishaps on our first few outings the name became the MMP (Mobile Money Pit). New fridge water heater, furnace, water pump just to name a few things, and Betsy just did not fit our new found black money hole LOL.

We call those missing letters and misspelled words "typonese" After a while no one notices and just fills in as needed. LOL
