Master cylinder gasket needed

I have a 1977 Airstream motor home based on a Chevy P 30 chassis with all four wheel disc barkes. I need a master cylinder gasket. Its not the same gasket or master cylinder typically used on a rear drum set up, Its much larger. the gasket has Bendix 2228633 stamped on it. It measures 6 inches long by 4 inches wide. Very large master cylinder fluid tanks.  I can not find it at any big box auto parts stores. Does anyone here have one or a source ?

Hi Jiff, I tried to call and left a call back #. so here's my experience I don't have a P30 chassis but I do have a GMC truck with 4 wheel disc brakes. I replaced all of the brake lines on it this spring and like you had a difficult time bleeding the brakes I even bought a vacuum brake bleeding kit and just could not get them to pump up. I finally had to get help and even then we could not get pressure from the master cylinder. I finally removed the fittings from the master cylinder and put my thumb over the outlet and had a friend pump the brakes. after a few pumps the master cylinder started pumping fluid and I then moved to (on my truck the anti lock control mod.) and bled them one at a time and on to the each wheel cylinder doing the farthest from the master first. on both of my front brakes I had to bleed from the banjo fittings because the bleeders on both had rusted to the point of non existence. Hope this is of some help call me if you want to vent I've been there a lot lately.....Rich

I bought a new Master cylinder just to get a gasket. But, I have been spending hours trying to bleed the brakes and simply can not get much fluid to come out of the rear wheel cylinders. I think I am fighting a problem that may be the old master cylinder is bad and I need to give in and replace it. I dont know. I have never had any problems bleeding brakes. I am not sure if the engine has to run in order to get the weird looking brake booster to work and therefore get enough pressure to bleed the rear brakes ? I have tried and that doesn't really seem to help. Is it the super long brake line length to the rear that somehow is causing a problem ? I wouldn't think so. Jim Stoltz, did you bleed your brakes yourself ? I am mad at myself. I guess I should have pulled the Master cylinder from the get go. I have hesitated to in fear of not being able to ever get the pressure high enough to bleed the rear brakes plus I broke off one front bleeder and the other front bleeder is completely stuck. On brakes that are only a couple of years old. UUGGG. If any of you like Jim Stoltz have done this on a P30 with 4 wheel discs, I would like to have about 20 minutes on the phone with you. Kick me in the butt and push me into the right direction because what I am doing is not working. Here I am, another weekend and a holiday weekend at that without being able to use my Airstream motor coach. If you cant tell, I am really p.o'd at myself. there are times when we have had to make our own gaskets. some of the equipment I am involved with dates back to the 20's and have to improvise to get things running again. good luck.

I got a new MC from rockauto.com. Super cheap if you can wait a couple of days for shipping. You do have to know what you have to sort through the options, but if you know you have: 4-wheel discs (like I did) you're set. 

I don't know how your Airstream is set up but the MC on my Allegro was really hard to get at. I got it done but not without a lot of expletives and skinned knuckles.

Here is another place to try, they took over the workhorse chassis who took over the Chevy P chassis. They had what I needed for my P30 when no one else did.
