Suspension air bags 13 Replies

Has anyone replaced the coil airbags? If so how did you get them in. The instructions say to twist the air bag but I can't get it to untwist once it is in coil.

FYI,, on additional Air Leak,,,,, Check your EGR valve,,, a quick test is to remove the hose from the EGR and plug it and take a test drive,,, 90% of additional air whistles I have diagnosed was the EGR..    Hope this is your solution....

Well the vacuum leak takes a back seat now. I pulled it out of its spot because the ramps were sinking. I noticed something dripping on the driveway. Black tank is leaking. Looking at it, it's an old crack repair that has opened back up. I have no idea how it happened, or maybe it was just due. It wasn't a great repair. So I'm looking at Plasti-Mend ABS repair. The problem may be that the crack isn't even - there's a lip on one edge. I tapped it with a rubber mallet hoping it would pop back together but no dice. I guess it's been like that for a long time. Good news is that there's just some fresh water and sanitizer in there. I need to drain it and figure out what to do next.

Yeah, it's something like an additional air noise that starts after running quiet and normal, like someone opens up an air valve. The strange thing is that the vacuum gauge doesn't show an appreciable change. With old BMW's and K-Jet I'm familiar with vacuum leaks and will swap out any of the lines I can get to before the next trip.

Yes it does sound like a vacuum leak. I have a similar issue but haven't investigated. I have a curious "whistle" at times. I most recently heard it in this vid from one of my surveillance cameras: https://video.nest.com/clip/e61ee876224947dabc336519e2c2952e.mp4

It has to be some sort of vacuum leak. It will also load up as it idles. I need to rev it up to clear it out. Another thing on the to-do list.

Daniel, it sounds like a vacuum leak. Check your vacuum line. If it's not that hopefully it's not the intake. We're up here just north of Bath south of Keuku lake.

Got back from Watkins Glen KOA and had just about everything working as planned... RV'wise anyway. I am getting a strange air sucking noice off the engine while driving. this happens only occasionally and it ramps up the cabin noise a bit. I suspect it's something to do with the carb and taking in too much air.

What was private? The website? Okay, the logo stuff will be uploaded to DropBox because the file sizes for the front RV logo turned out to be 42 megs. It's slightly curved due to the scanner pulling in a 4' strip into it but it's not bad. I even peeled a bit off and the glue is still good!! Anyway, I'll send you the invite to the DropBox site so you can go there and also send it to your sign guy. Have a good one!

Unable to see it Daniel, says private! Still would like dimensions even though you sent logos PDF. Thanks
