I have the 250-D model which sold for $30,750 in 1975. Some of the additional options were original, can't be sure which were added later. it does have the double swiveling passenger seat and "cocktail" table. And it has the vacuum.

I have been trying. Once in a while something will show up but its usually so far away it makes no sense to buy something unseen. I have not found a reliable fridge-refurbishing dealer so far.

Google RV salvage yards FrannyLee. You may find a good fridge at a decent price.

Soooo .. the fridge worked. Then it didn't. Then it did. Then it didn't. GRRRR!

So, from what I have been told, there may be something floating around in the cooling unit that is causing blockage. Probably will not be able to replace the cooling unit, more likely will have to replace the fridge. Looking into this now. Any suggestions? There does not seem to be any resources for rebuilt fridges. There was someone in the Portland Oregon area a few years back but I cannot locate him now. May just bite the bullet and go new. YIKES!

Thanks for your response Rich. We did flip it and the fridge seems to be working great again. Not sure if this Norcold is the original install but it may be as it is an oldie. So nice to have it working again. Had to flip it inside as it would not fit out the only door in the Revcon but it was just a minor inconvenience.

Yes, an air bubble can get in your coolant circuit and cause a blockage. The only way that I know to get it out is to do as your mechanic has stated. To prevent a bubble from occurring is to make sure to level your RV before you use the fridge. The best thing is to level your fridge with a disc level placed in the fridge. I always level my RV then check the fridge and fine tune accordingly. It may be prudent for you to check level and if out re level it and try the fridge again before you take drastic measures. That task is a bear.

OK .. new question for you all // the fridge which worked fine when I got this has been giving up on me. First the freezer simply stopped freezing, then slowly the fridge began losing its cooling ability. My mechanic says if you remove the fridge and turn it upside down for a day it then replace it, it will be fine. Any of you familiar with this concept?

I have a close friend who is a fine cabinetry level carpenter. I am trying to reach and schedule him to help with this. I think this sort of project needs at least 4 arms.  :)

Exactly Lakota and thanks for clearing that up.  I mentioned The roll of paper only as an example of something cheap to make templates out of. They sell it at Lowe's in the paint department as a masking material. I thought I was pretty clear about that but I'm glad you was there to clarify.

I think Rich was refering to using cardboard to make templates to custom fit insulation pieces,, because everyone knows, nothing is perfectly square in an RV.... Like window tint,,, its easier to make a template  then cut out the film before installing it,, I do the same thing with window insulation covers for my windows,,, I made a template, and then used the template to cut out the covers... a lot easier then trying to hold it up and trim to fit or guess the measurements.

Take some pics of your progress,, we would enjoy you sharing them with us here on GORV.
