I'm still searching the world over for speedometer cables for 1978 Dodge Monaco with Cruise Control (two cables) if anyone should happen onto any in salvage yards. I have been completely unsuccessful in sourcing these, despite two years' searching.

Main speedo cable about 110" and the cruise control cable about 30" Ends are Dodge MB400 chassis with Torqueflight 727 trans.

Thanks to anyone providing info.

I have been searching for months for the two-piece speedometer cable for my 1978 Dodge Monaco (Dodge f40/MB400 chassis) but though I have had three separate cable sets that parts suppliers insisted were the right ones, none were.

The problem seems to be in the Cruise Control equipped vehicles, where two cables, one about 26" long and the other about 108" long, are required. It is apparently easy to find cables for the non-cruise-control equipped models. I have now given up on the parts…

Does anyone have any constructive suggestions, or similar experiences that ended in finding the cables? It is difficult to believe that with so many Class C motorhomes built on the 1-ton chassis with the Dodge 440 and 727 transmission, it is so hard to find these parts.
Any assistance will really be appreciated. Speedometer Cables (v1.2) '78 Dodge F40tag:goodoldrvs.ning.com,2013-07-26:2093474:Topic:1702572013-07-26T17:56:39.925ZRandall Brinkhttps://goodoldrvs.ning.com/profile/RandallBrink
In my ongoing effort to replace a failed speedometer cable, I discovered that: 1. The cable sold me by NAPA is not the correct one, because my MH has Cruise Control, and the only cable listed by NAPA is for non-cruise control; 2. I also need the short cable that connects the Cruise Control Module to the transmission, and; 3. I cannot find these cables anywhere, from any normal parts source, NAPA, AutoZone, etc., etc.
If anyone can suggest a source for these cables, I would be most…
