Anyone who has seen this, it has a wonderful bench seat forward seating arrangement for 4 (we fit 5 when we were small), which turns into the dinette. It sleeps 6 with two sling type bunks in the back (we loved as kids). I think it has approximately 126,000 miles, but the odometer doesn't have a hundred thousand dial~ crazy! ~ so I suppose it could be 200,000+ That seems high, but I am not really sure.

It has been sitting for a long time, and needs work- though it was driven into it's current spot before my dad could no longer get about. If noone actually wants to take it on, we will need to donate it- probably for parts- which makes me sad, but I suppose all good things have an end.

I'll try to get photos, but I can answer any questions.

We are in Sacramento, California.

What makes a Revcon unique?
- Front-drive means no drive shaft to the rear axle, so the vehicle has a lower center of gravity.
As such, it handles exceptionally well.
- Custom box channel frame makes it much more rigid than C-channel designs used in most motorhomes.
- Lightweight aluminum monocoque body further improves handling and fuel economy.
- Aircraft aluminum used for exterior skin, frame and interior skin. Front and rear end caps are fiberglass.
- 2" high-density fiberglass insulation makes walls lighter than in most RVs, easy to clean, and nearly impervious to moisture. Other RVs have laminated layers of fiberglass, wood, and foam, so any water leaks will quickly rot the wood. Not Revcon.
- Underbelly is totally enclosed and stuffed with 6" of fiberglass insulation, which also reduces road noise.
The Revcon motor coach line was designed by someone affiliated with Airstream and was considered top of the line luxury coach for its time.

Lower bunk converts to double.

Shelf drops, back board cushion drops in place on outer edge pull out. Water tank below bunk.

Upper bunk can be locked in place or raised up along ceiling, clever accordian style hinge doubles as a side table in occupied position.

Vanity - 4 drawers across from bunk, on closet on each side.

Additional deep narrow closet with rear shelves between bunk and bathroom.

Kitchen table is L shaped. Allegedly makes an additional double bunk.

I never experimented with that

The window glass is intact but even after cleaning the track material, I was unable to get them all to open. I chose not to be too forceful and risk breaking glass. I ordered a couple of possible track replacement samples. They are in an envelope. That was as far as I got. Some windows do open partially, dining area is only place that opens fully, but is very stiff.

Driver side window opens fully, slides well but the handle is missing so it takes both inside and outside pressure to get it started.

The hot water heater is below the rear port closet. I was never able to try it. and can not guarantee if it works or not. I do know the heat exchange water heater worked.

I have lifetime #363 of my fathers, I'm looking to sell it for him. Ford chassis, straight six, three speed. Runs and drives. Was last on the road two years ago. Needs new tires at this point and the brakes have some air in the line. Lights all work. Has some water damage but nothing too major.

When I came across this photo I just had to repost it as a reminder to all motorhome owners of how NOT to allow you RV to be towed. The damage that is being inflicted on that front end is a travesty and is senseless because it is due to incorrect or inadequate training of the tow truck operator.

When a MH is being towed it should always be towed from the front. In most cases the front axle should be chained to the frame to keep it from dropping down and tearing the air bags apart before the front tires ever leave the ground. Finally, the drive shaft needs to be disconnected.

I am sure all of you know what I have just listed, but it is always good to have a reminder of the proper and improper ways of getting towed. One never knows how well the driver has been trained and the wrecker company will not pay for all the damage they cause, it will come out of your own pocket.

I lived in a class B last winter up in the upper midwest. It gets cold up here. I've opted for an RV of a different sort this year. One I have a little more control over in the insulating dept. I bought a bus a few weeks ago and will go pick it up this weekend and begin the task of winterizing this new RV they way it should be to survive in the northern climes of the US. I will scrap t he flooring and take it to the metal, clean and paint the metal then insulate the floor with 1.5" of styro. On that will go the flooring. I will fur the walls and add another 1.5" of insulation to that. My water tanks will all be small and above board so I can keep them warm and thawed out. I'll top it off with a furnace large enough to keep the interior warm in sub-zero temps and cozy it up a bit with personal touches here and there; enough to call it home through the winter months.

One thing that gets over looked much of the time, when one wants to live in an RV over the winter months, is the need to separate the cab of a motor home from the rest of the living quarters. The reason is simple. All that glass has a tendency to frost over and melt in cycles that follow the outside temps. This ice tends to create a ecosystem all its own that raises cane with wiring and can cause all manner of electrical problems.

I will build a solid wall with a door into the cabin from the cab of the bus. I will also build a back wall about 4' from the back of the bus; also with a door. This will give me cold storage area in the very back of the bus that will also be used as a cold weather entry to the warm cabin inside
Flickr photo group for Travcostag:goodoldrvs.ning.com,2012-12-13:2093474:Topic:1395962012-12-13T05:02:59.971ZMyrtlehttps://goodoldrvs.ning.com/profile/Myrtle
