Hello and thanks for the warm welcomes.I found this site a few days ago and am really loving the info, pictures and everything RV related.
I purchased my 19 foot bumper pull Fleetwood Wilderness trailer last November for $200.I have been wanting my own camper all my life.My husband and I could never afford to pay alot for one and I enjoy working on such things and this little camper is a dream come true.It has water damage to the front end and will need lots of work.Plus I plan on re-modeling the inside to suit my tastes while trying to keep as much as possible close to original.I'm lucky in that we work construction and I have access to left over scraps and pieces of all types building materials. And thats the great thing about this camper, nothing is really big so these little bits and pieces I save will work perfectly for repairs.
I would really like to learn about these brand/type campers.Right now I am trying to figure out what works and what doesn't as far as electrial ,plumbing and the propane.Since the previous owner ripped away some interior paneling, like maybe 2 half-sheets paneling, one on the ceiling and one on the end,I have some wires that are disconnected and I don't know how to figure out what they go to.I have hooked it to electrial power and do have some things that work.I "think" everything thats supposed to.I' m just really guessing because I don't know for sure.I hooked up a new deep cycle batterey and have nothing with that.I think these un-hooked wires must have something to do with that.I will be checking tomorrow with a tester to see where I have power and where its missing.
I am hoping to add some pictures and look forward to learning all I can here about what to do and what not to do.
Thanks for the chance to share and learn here.
