Was looking at an ad for a 1981 25ft travelcraft class c motorhome. Owner states garage kept with 45000 miles. Never any leaks or water damage. Everything works and cold ac from dash. No awning an maybe no generator. It's powered by a chev 350. Is this a little underpowered for this unit. Possibly 10 mpg. Any maintenance issues looking down the road for this motorhome . Pictures he has posted look really nice. He's down to $2500.00

Thanks, Leon

Wow sounds like a good deal. My 1973 Barth 21ft rv is also powered by a very good running 350 chevy crate motor. We almost always tow a small Jeep and our trips which mostly include some mountains. Mpg is 10 and under. Trips to the High Sierras can get mpg down to 7.5       Our rig has a large trans oil cooler and an engine oil cooler as well as a heavy duty radiator. These items help prolong the service life of the drivetrain. We use our dash AC when not towing but its a little underpowered to use the AC when towing
