1986 Real Lite by Juno $5000

Hey all!

My husband and I are closing on a home in Maine and we have decided to sell our one of a kind truck camper! I've been dreading this day. Anyway, she comes with a few upgrades and updating. She is fully self contained. Gas stove, propane heat, COLD A/C 120 30amp, dorm style refrigerator, with upper small freezer. My husband has set up the fridge to run off the solar panel we installed. Great for boondocking! Sleeps 4, loft bedroom and a jackknife couch. Bathroom with a standalone shower. We have all original manuals.

Upgrades to it are reinforced jack support areas, solar panel, charge controller and inverter. New interior paint, faux tiling back splash, reupholster couch. Resealed entire camper, windows/ trim door. Roof has been redone.

This is a conversation piece, mainly because we've never seen another on the road. She is ready for a loving home to take care of her for many years to come.

Hi Alsie,

Very nice camper you have.  We purchased a 1988, same model a few years back, in not as nice condition and I'm close to ready to start working on it.  Ours does not have the roof rails although it seems all of the pictures I see of others have them?  Where is this camper currently located?

How many solar panels, of what capacity, did you install on the roof?  How did you route the cables down to the charge controller?  Is the controller located near the battery or batteries?  Did you stick with 12V batteries or opt for the series 6V setup?  Do you run anything besides the fridge on the solar?

Do you have suggestions on your sealer cleanup task (we have the same problem)?  Do you have additional pictures of the inside?

Does your manual state the Gross Vehicle Weight of the camper?  We have an 1993 F350 SRW but much of the payload capacity is lost with the diesel, crew-cab & 4x4.  The jack system is a Stable-Lift (even more weight) which will not accommodate a dually pickup.  I'm in a search for a newer truck but would really like to know the payload requirement based partially/mostly on the weight of the camper.

Finally, did you ever figure out the siding question.  Ours has a few dents and dings needing repair.  As I stated, I'm just looking to get started so I have not collected much info yet but yours is very inspiring.
