Another chunk of paneling soaking wet

Back at the MMP today. And when I pulled out the dinette I found the wall was wet and pulling apart. Turns out the window over the dinette was cut wrong and so water was getting in. Got it resealed, I hope. I will know for sure when the rains come again in a couple of days. But I am making headway despite all the frustrating set-backs.

The most annoying find was behind the dinette on the opposite side. Part of the floor is rotted out. This will be interesting to replace as it is under the kitchen sink cabinet. I really, and I mean REALLY do not want to pull the stove and sink to get the cabinet out to fix that small area. But time will tell when I take the sawzall to it.

Maybe I will just use duct tape and cover it up and forget it since it will be covered up by the hardwood floor that will be installed (just kidding). This never ending story of leaks is getting old. Tina I understand your frustrations. The more we dig the more problems we keep finding. Anyway, enjoy the pics and stay tuned to this continuing saga of frustration. Gleaned wisdom bit from today--Never expect things to go right, Murphy raises his head all to often.

Going to look at your pics now Russ.  I know the dilemma of not wanting to yank out the stove and sink oh too well.  {{Sigh}}  Sure hope  you don't have to do that.

I hope it doesn't rain this weekend, I'm going to have power tools lying all over the place outside. LOL
