I'm guessing that you have a Kwikee Step? If so, you are likely looking at either a new control module or a motor drive assembly. The only way to find out exactly is to crawly underneath with a good multimeter and an assistant to open and close the door for you. You need to be REALLY careful doing this because of the ability of the scissors linkage to chop off fingers and etc. Very strong with a lot of mechanical advantage!

I recommend raising the vehicle on ramps or over a good work pit (good luck with that one!) to be on the safe side.

The first thing you need to do is download an owner's manual from the manufacturer's site, which will be invaluable in navigating the wiring color code, and will also explain the operating logic.

"Crawly"? How did I do that?

Matt

Thanks,

If it helps, I have a 1985 Holiday Rambler AlumaLite (they were all the same chasis - just different finish and trim).

I have an original manual and some other manauls as well.  I'll be happy to try to find something if you need it.  All that said, a good schematic is what I don't have.  I wish I did.  I even have the original bill of sale to the first owner, but I don't think the schematic ever existed in this pile.

I have a copy of the schematic, but I guess he must have fixed the problem.
