Hi Everyone! Rob and I had our little Streamline accepted by The Palm Springs Modernism week show in Feb. We keep having the discussion of how to make sure the posts of the awning stay- as we will be displaying the trailer in the parking lot of the Hilton and can't really use the support ropes. Will this be a problem? Any suggestions? I don't think it will but.... and of course am trying to avoid huge cement or awkward weights etc as its a display too. I did think of just cement cinder blocks and put the end in there- paint them the color of my trim-LOL Here's a pic;

Hi Jana,
We have seen vendors at the local seafood festival use 5 gal buckets filled with sand or water they were holding pop-up awnings but it's about the same. Paint the buckets to match and hang signs for dog and cat water. Just a thought, hope it helps, Tony, Joy and Cool Paw Luke
I will say that smaller galvanized buckets with cement and a piece of sprinkler piping (cut to top edge) seemed the nicest answer to this riddle- 2 trailers at the show did this. One even had a small tightening screw for the pipe to hold the awning pole tight and upright. We used cinder blocks which worked but we still had to contend with ropes and people that might trip. See them in pic below-
