For anyone that hasn't heard of it, GacoRoof is - by far - the best roof sealer.

Developed in Seattle, it's 100% silicon!

This comes highly recommended by many RV'ers.

I used it on the roof seams of my 33 yr old Winnebago and it works great!

Be warned - it's NOT cheap - can run between $60-80 for a gallon can but worth every penny.....

If I remember it was around $70 for a 5 gallon pail.

ty,i live 4 miles from tractor supply, found lots of leaks this week after all our rain, will wait for her to dry out!

No matter what product you use be sure to check the expiration date on the product before you buy.  Some manufacters have use by date on the container, others may have a date code, you must call to check.  Don't let anyone tell you that expiration dates don't matter!

Before you pay for what ever product you choose, check the expiration on each container.  Some manufacturers provide a "use by date", other manufacturers use "date code", if it is a date code call the manufacturer for the use by date.  Don't let a store employee tell its still good or that an expiration date does not matter.

ty for this info,i will look for expiration,i would not have known it would even have one on a product of this kind...

One other thing when prepping the roof I initially used hot soapy water with bleach in it to kill of  fungus and such. Then rinsed it with plenty of water then went back with a degreaser in water.  A good quality stiff bristle brush works wonders. Before I applied the roof coating I painted all the seams and cracks with the stuff and let it dry before rolling the rest of the roof out. Applied the first coat let it dry for a day or so then applied a second coat..has held up great no leaks what so ever.

does this sealer come in alluminum color?

Current price is 89.95 at Tractor Supply here in the southwest. This is for 5 gallons. I am wondering if I should use eternabond on all the seams and around the vents first though??I have used something like this before, but didn't allow dry time between coats, and only applied 1 and half coats..Now is flaking, and some leaks around vents..??thanks ..ben

Nick what was the name of the elastomeric  coating you used and did the directions tell you to use anything special before  applying the coating ?

I need to reseal my roof , the dior says you must use an activator/cleaner before putting the coating on .

Thanks

Hi Nick how many gallons did you use I need to recoat the roof of my 22' Rockwood.

I used the Roof Coating from Armor Garage with the same enthusiasm.

It will work on any substrate and is guaranteed for 10+ years.

Dries in a day, fills all cracks, reduces interior heat from sun, comes in white or colors, rolls on like very thick paint.

Mil-Spec material

Thicker coating than competition

It ain't cheap though...

LOL... ya, nothing worth its salt comes cheap any more, Angel...

I think the Gaco runs about $60-80/gal depending on your area....
