cooling unit replacement
This spring the bride and I bought a 'new' trailer, 1987 Kit brand 20 footer. Everything worked last time out and the sellers father checked everything and gave it the OK. Well, a couple weeks ago we finally tried out the fridge, it was a no go. After some internet reading we felt confident that the problem was the cooling unit.
We replaced the unit yesterday, plugged the fridge into power around 5 pm to see what would happen. By 8:30 the freezer was down to 10 degrees and the fridge portion was down in the 40's.
While we made a couple mistakes in the fit, which if we need to we can pull the fridge out and re-do. But since it is working as well as it is, I would say we did OK. If anyone has the need to do this project, don't fret, it is not as bad as it sounds.
