Took at the MMP this morning, after fighting with myself for almost 3 hours about getting up and doing something. I did get more of the styrofoam removed, but I also put a new hole clear through the outside fiberglass. So I now have another hole that needs to be repaird. Nothing like making work for yourself. LOL
My helpers are staying up all night and not getting up till 4PM now so I patiently waited all afternoon for one of them to get up to help me remove the window. I was not feeling brave enough to pull all the screws out, remove the inner ring and go outside and pull out the window. LOL, I had visions of safety glass shattered inside the frame and me with a very irate look on my face and lots of dark blue air surrounding me.
So I got the window out, finally, covered up, to repel the rain that is starting tomorrow and going through Thursday. And what should I find???? Guess, go ahead and guess...if ya said another hole you would be sooooo on the money. The PO, maybe POSO would be more appropriate, did not retract the awning during a storm and it got tore off and left a gaping hole in the side which he filled with..[anticipation should be building at this point].. SILICONE!!! the arch enemy of the RVer.
So after getting the window out I pulled a huge section of insulation and inside paneling down in one fell swoop. I think if the framework had not interrupted the movement I would have pulled down the entire inside in one fell swoop.
Well more tomorrow, I hope, if life does not interrupt me again. Take care all and be safe in all your travels.

Thank you for this, I will admit to being very discouraged for a time as the problems kept coming, but got through that. Which is a good thing, because if I had found this mess when in the 'ready to give up' stage I would have called it quits for sure.
But with the new mind set, this find, and the new hole to fix, are just part and parcel of not getting a better MH at the start and having to contend with faulty building, even faultier repairs, and far less maintenance that she should have had over her 31 years of existence.
Yep, prior to school getting out and after school starts again is the older campers prime time for getting out. I hope to have ours ready for some fall camping this year. But winter camping does not bother me, the gulf coast will likely be my destination of choice this winter.
