As we are getting ready to get our '77 Dodge Brougham on the road, we were wondering if there is a decal or something to indicate we are members of Good Old RV's? We have had one shakedown and told a couple of folks about the site, but it would be great to have a badge on the rig, maybe with the website address. Is this possible to do?
Joy and I like the idea a lot!! If they were made we would pay for one and put it on our rig proudly. Tony, Joy and Cool Paw Luke
If a prototype can be developed, I would gladly chip in a few $$$ up front for costs. Maybe some others would also?? I like the idea of a round/oval similar to the Good Sam size or just a bit bigger. The nice rope-style lettering on the site header with the www. underneath would be just fine. I hope some more members will comment on this.
Ditto on that!
T-shirts & caps would be nice too ;)
I also like those stickers that you peel away the paper and it just leaves the printed detail on the surface without all the extra paper stuff in-between.... It makes for a nice clean look.
I see lots of options for this great idea!
Sounds like a good idea. I like Lady Dove's idea on the clear stickers with the clean look. I also would not mind chiping in a few bucks on the startup
I think it is a great idea Pat, I didn't realize it is costing you so much.
I agree! It is not right for Pat to subsidize the site that we all use and enjoy. I would certainly purchase decals and logo items.
Might I suggest that for now, you start with CafePress.com .... it's free to set up!
Then just post the "Good Old RV's" store link so we can go SHOPPING!....lol
Just a thought~~~~
Lady Dove - CafePress is a wonderful idea! I get lots of my dog breed items there. The items are nice quality and it saves the seller from having to stock lots of items in advance. Whatever is decided, count on us for multiple purchases. If we are voting, we vote in favor of going forward.
I myself would also like to not only buy club items but would also be willing to help with start up cost and kick in on the cost to help run the site so Pat will not have to dig in the trash for stuff to sell on craigs list, this will free up his time to work on the site full time.

PayPal widget dedicated as a "Good Old RV's" website upkeep should do the trick;)
They have a Donation button for non profit org's and one for the rest of us;)
Use Example:
A lot of struggling musicians use a "Donate" button on their website & fans are happy to donate when heaven forbid instruments stolen or distroyed, there is major equipment failure or expensive professional studio time comes around and you are already on a TopRamen diet. (Starving Musician is a reality, not a myth.)
Well, I'm a fan of Good Old Rv's .... ;)
Hi All,
I have designed logos, stickers etc in the past. I would be more than happy to do so for this club as well. The cost of a printed say 3x3" or bumper style sticker is pretty cheap, once we get into the shirts etc though we would have to take pre-orders for them so that someone isn't out a ton of money. I have found in the past that though there is much spoken interest once the product is created, purchased etc the actual purchases don't match up with the supposed interest. Costs for embroidered polo's for example would be $20-25 each and baseball caps similar. There are fees associated to upload the design ($50) then purchasing the items etc. These are approx prices.. i would need to reprice since its been a couple years since I placed a shirt order.
The other point is that if we set up a paypal etc account the club would need a biz license due to transaction number. I'm not an accountant but have had issues in the past with this in other clubs. If anyone is an accountant or financial adviser out there... chime in.
Meanwhile I will see what my brain cells can spin out in terms of design etc. and will post.
