Holding tank vent
I'm installing a new black water holding tank below the bathroom floor. Original design in this trailer had the tank vent coming up through the floor about 10 inches and turning 90 degrees and exiting through the side wall. The standard now days is to vent through the roof. Is exiting out the side wall ok? It's going to be a bit of a pain to vent through the roof. We totally rebuilt our camper as soon as we bought it so I have not used this set up to know whether or not the side venting is adequate. Will I get stink from the vent being "below nose level"?

If the vent is below your nose, you will definitely smell it! You may consider an extension that is attached only when you are parked, a part of setting up and taking down when camping.
