ok i have this old 2 wire colman thermostat the cover keeps falling off and into the seat of the dinnet and i am sick of it pokeing me in the back, soooo i want to replace it and all you can finde these days is the new digetal ones that take and run your ac and heater and a million wires or it seams example i got a honywell model RTH221B and i can not figuer out how t wire it any help guys and gals.
I like your factory thermostat. Maybe you could just relocate it and put a piece of tape on it to hold the cover?
Velcro or Tape would be my choice, or check Ebay for the older 2 wire *mercury style thermostats.
B.T.W.. The new *electronic digital,, second mortgage type thermostats are NOT very efficient on RV furnace and a/c systems. If you choose to relocate,,, get a hold of your local phone company and ask for a service tech and see if you can talk them out of some old school Hard 2 strand phone wire,, It works awesome.
the reason behind the up-date i was hoping i could take advantage of the manual fan on switch to turn the blower on to act like a ceiling fan with out the heat or cool side turning on
