I am looking for a project travco

I would like a travco about 20 to 26 ft long with a 413 power plant. I live in shreveport, Louisiana and would like something as close as possible. Just a project, I am a auto instructor at a career center and am getting ready to retire and my wife and I would like to travel, but as most people don't have a lot of money at any given time, but have lots of ime and energy( I think). Any help would be appreciated, thanks

hello i have a 220 travco in florida in cocoa florida .  i had someone take the brakes apart and they left them exposed so i have to do the brakes and axle spindles to clean it up,  the 22 foot travco has only 51000 original miles and a 413 industrial motor. it is a unique model of the 220, it has the kitchen on the passenger side, needs cosmetics from the florida sun but also it was in colorado for a long time,  seth

I have a 65 travco that would make a great project, it is in Homosassa, fla. It has the 318 polydome engine though, It ran when parked, but has sat for over 10 years. It needs restored totally

Hi Michael.

I saw your post several weeks ago, and keep forgetting to respond.  I have a 1973 Travco.  I bought it over a year ago, drove it home 60 miles, everything working.  It has had the oil changed, new fuel filter, and other maintenance done, but for some reason when we drive it, the oil pressure is very low, so we have not taken it out on an adventure.  I did fine a mechanic who diagnosed that a casting plug in the oil gantry has a leak, and prohibits oil from getting into the top of the engine.  The engine must be getting some, as we drove over an hour home, no overheating, but not enough pressure showing on the gauge. The mechanic promised to come on several Sundays--his day off--but never showed up.  Never calls to cancel--there is a personal problem there.  I have not been able to find anyone else in this area who wants to work on it.  I am near Gainesville, FL.   My children and grandchildren do like to stay in it, so at least we got some use out of it as a guest cottage!  It was professionally painted white when we bought it, now needs a bath!

Now my wife has to have some pretty serious surgery in a few weeks, so I am going to sell it.  If you are still looking for a Travco, let me know.  Don Palmer 352-219-7062
