My 74 Executive has what appears to be a hydraulic stabilizer on the rear. This is composed of two pistons linked by hydraulic lines with no pump or obvious valving. The bushings and lower rod connectors are bad and I wonder if anybody can give me some info on this type of system. I'm new to RVing and trying to bring the handling back up to snuff. Found the system while checking shocks (buy Monroe or Bilstein?) and want to fix it b4 shock purchase. Thanks for any help.
Gary, I do wonder what pressurizes the hydraulics? must be a pump somewhere in the system. I have always found the more expensive Bilsteins superior in all ways. I would recommend you go with them, but there's certainly nothing wrong with the right Monroe's either. I will see if we have other Executive owners as members by tying Executive in our tiny little SEACH box very top right of this home page who you can correspond with about the hydraulics. Executives seem to be real survivors and have a great interior layout. Pat
sounds like air ride system? but i no knowing bout it
