Don’t forget that propane gas is 1.56 times heavier than air, so it settles (puddles). You might have a leaking valve so have a certified trchnician check it out.

<p style="text-align: left;">Stoves do that just like the pilot setting on all gas stoves, BBQ grills, etc. As I understand it, that burst ensures there is an overpressure at the burner so spark/fire doesn’t travel back, into the gas line. Look at your gas grill knobs. </p>
