Interested in hearing from anyone about their experience replacing the original refrigerator with a residential unit from the big box stores. What are your suggestions??? Thanks

The Norcold I have with the built in inverter also has an on-board "chatter protector" box as part of the inverter assembly. That's Norcold's name for the component, not mine. Part # 163100740 and used with the 12 volt or 24 volt marine inverter.
I have a Norcold that I still use and sounds the same It's a model DE728 and came with a 1973 Winnebago. AC refrigerator with a built-in inverter. Runs on 120 VAC, 12 volt DC or 24 volts DC . The compressor itself is a 30-40 volt AC unit. Fairly big refrigerator. 27" X 25" X 52".
