Ive been holding off sharing any info about my new project with any of my friends. Perhaps im nutzoid but i know my Kencraft CAN be nice-nicer... am i the only one that can see usability and a reason to rescue. You all get it - dont you?
I know i have a LOT of work ahead of me. I risked sharing pictures with a friend who simply said - ewww
It hurts - its hard enough, especially on my budget, to do something like this BUT/AND I can do this...the Scamp i did last year was fuggly bad And we found a cracked frame...i sold that and made a friend with its new owner.
I feel so deflated. Perhaps these projects should only be discusded with people like you who have a bit of vision?
Do you guys have to becareful who you share with?

I just let it roll off my shoulders Lesa, My old Travelcraft is something I want to have, not something I have because i cant afford new. I simply like the old things better and I feel sorry others cant find joy in having something or bringing something back to a usable state and finding pleasure in it.  If I had the body I would like to tackle a project like yours or the one Brooke is doing. When I bought the palace I had all eyes on me on the trip home. some folks would look the other way when I made eye contact with them looking at my rig. but most people would look at it and give me a thumbs up or holler out nice rig or that kind of thing. I say go for it and let those who don't have a clue just wonder through life empty and unchallenged.

Thanks Rich - it helps to connect with encouraging people.

Only people who are into restorations understand the love affair between it and its owner, be it car or trailer. Many people look at my old MH and go 'why are you wasting money on it?' they don't understand and probably never will. Just press on and share what you are doing here on GORV, we are all crazy and understand that love affair with taking something that is beyond hope and turning it into a lovely piece of work that many will be OHHing and AHHHing over in the future. Good Luck, and press on. :)

Thanks Russ.
I love bringing something back to usefulness...its incredibly rewArding - even people can be brought back....grin
:)
Thanks for providing GORVs Pat.

Okay so I SACRIFICED like you wouldn't believe! AND I have the Kencraft basically finished.  I moved in. And moved it 40 miles from town onto MY OWN LAND - OMGosh, I was also able to buy and pay for and have the deed to 10 acres in AZ!

sooooooo - anyone looking for a 1950's vintage propane cookstove - I have a one piece white Princess with 3 burners and a big oven
