Of all things, not glamourous at all, but essential none the less.

I got my hands on a "Dual Flush" and its PERFECT for my rig.

Since I got my hands on one, I havent gotten anything on my hands.

A simple Walmart item, but brother, nothing beats it. for small tanks where you dont have access issues to the valve.

Jim, how's this thing work? pat
UH ! Cool gadget , but not so sure I " NEED " it to be clear . lol lol

TO THE QUESTION "HOWS THIS THING WORK" It serves two purposes... 1) It allows you to see whats flowing out of the tank (nothing, clean water or YUKKK)  2) It allows you to force/purge hose supplied water up into the holding tank to rinse n clean it out until you end up with only clear water draining back out.

I dont own one and have got by fine for nearly 40 years of camping but I use proper procedures and preventitive black water holding tank maintenance such as:  1) USE PLENTY OF WATER when you flush, you want enough liquids in that tank NOT all solids that can dry and harden up and NOT flow n flush out as needed.  2) OCCASSIONALLY flush the tank by completely filling it with water then dumping then re filling then dumping again. If youre hooked full time to a sewer dump DO NOT LEAVE THE DUMP VALVE OPEN, let the tank fill with plenty of water and chemical inside it to digest the solids and then dump as it gets full.  3) THE WORSE THING THAT CAN HAPPEN IF HOOKED FULL TIME TO A SEWER is if your dump valve has a slow leak because that lets all the liquid run out and leave nothing but solids in the tank that dry and harden PLUGGING YOUR TANK YUKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK  I know my _ _ _ _  lol

I don't think I want to see what's coming out of the holding tanks.  :)

Just now got through ordering one of these puppies . Hope it gets here quick . I'm readying for an adventure .

Got mine in from Walmart online ordering . Found them online elsewherr as well for about 50% more . Looks well made and what a great gadget it is going to be . Gonna go dry camp this week and next weekend . So I will likely be needing it soon .

Thanks for the post . Always looking for helpful ideas for sure .
