1st off it was pretty dirty from the Rodeo I attended a month ago and it needed a good scrubbing. The time out BFR on our longest trip from NM to San Diego and back the Gen. stopped a few times and was hard to start, so I thought I aught to give it some attention!
The oil was black and finding the right air filter was becoming a challenge so I eyed one up that looked close in diameter but longer in length and used a plate from an elec. ceiling light to cover the end and screw it in place! WIN!
New plugs, 4.5 qts. 30w rottella and a choke adjust and she starts on the 1st crank! whoo hoo!
Then to find an air filter for the 440 was the same drill!!!! (REALLY?) Ended up with one about a 1/2 inch too tall and now the lid to the air cleaner has a bout a 1/2 gap on the sides but i figure MORE fresh air is good for that ole fuel hog LOL.
My uline ice maker motor died and I hope the one I have on the way will be here before we leave on Monday do i have something to tinker with while on the road.
Got it out of the hanger on fri to get the fill valve on the on board propane tank fixed and that was an ALL DAY affair to find anyone who could do that. AAARRRGGG!!!
THEN on Sat. our dog decided she's got a pinched nerve in her back and cant walk and is now on steroids and muscle relaxers CRIMINY!!!!
With luck of the stars we should be soaking in the mineral waters of Pagosa Springs CO by 4 pm on monday!.......might try and find a place up there that will let the dog soak too LOL!
Cheers to all and please enjoy YOUR last hurrah of the summer!

We used to go to the "RESORT" there but at 500 a weekend and the quality getting less and less we discovered an older place across the street with RV parking and soaking tubs plus a pool included in the nightly fee!
I only have the Ice maker to play with If I get the motor. In april in San Diego I oiled the motor with canola spray and thought it was fine till the last trip were it stuck 1/2 way through the drop cycle!
