As the old Dodge has had several different coats of paint over the years I'd really like to give it a bit of a makeover in the Spring. At the moment its painted all white, unfortunately a different white to the cab.
Just wondered what options I had as to paint type/brand etc. I have tried using a Hammerite product sold here in the UK but its too thick and not nice to brush on.
Any suggestions???

Plus any suggestions as to paint schemes, only thing breaking up the white at the moment is the blue pinstriping on the cab and the side mouldings.
Don't really want to go back to the orignal wood effect though!!

Thanks,
Was thinking of something along the lines of the old "coach paint " which is brushable. May well stick with the white and just keep blue stripes. Save myself a job !!!!
HI.WE HAD A SIMILAR PROBLEM ON OUR HYMER 720.
SEVERAL OLD COATS AND ALL FLAKING AROUND THE WINDOWS AND DOOR.
AFTER TRYING A FEW THINGS WE USED WICKES STRAIGHT TO METAL PAINT.
IT GOES ON WELL WITH A BRUSH,DRIES QUITE QUICKLY AND HAS A NICE SATIN FINISH.
TWO COATS ON THE VAN ALL ROUND EXCEPT THE ROOF AND WE USED APPROX 1 1/4 LITRES.
ITS ABOUT £9 A CAN FOR 750ML I THINK.
WE DID THE WHOLE JOB IN A WEEKEND,KEEPING THE NEIGHBOURS AMUSED IN THE PROCESS.
NICE OLD WAGON YOU HAVE THERE.
