Why you should NEVER EVER BUY A KING SATELLITE DISH, VuQube, or Tailgator.....

We just got TOTALLY SCREWED by King Satellite systems company!!!

After spending HUNDREDS of DOLLARS on a King Satellite VuQube (aka - vewcube or vucube) just a couple years ago, the company NOW TELLS ME it is WORTHLESS...!?!?!?!

I called King Satellite systems company.....

"DISH NETWORK has made changes to their system, therefore, your VuQube no longer works. You'll have to buy a new one or buy an upgraded control board - which costs more than a new VuQube"

WHAT...??!!??!   So, because DISH NETWORK, the company that PUSHES AND SELLS AND PROMOTES YOUR PRODUCTS made changes, I now own a BOAT ANCHOR...?!?!?!

"Yah, sorry.............." - - - - - *click*

Hello, Dish....??  Is this true..???

DISH - "we have no idea what you're talking about..... we made changes but your VuQube should work, we don't know why it doesn't...."

So, my VuQube is pretty much worthless as it will no longer FIND satellites in the sky - kinda what it's FOR - AND KING blames DISH and DISH says they don't know.....

this would be like buying a laptop and then having the company tell me I can't get internet any more because my internet company changed their system so I'll have to buy a new laptop......

I'm not sure who is more liable for this, but I'll tell you what..... I'm not done with this....

One thing is for sure.....I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER KING SATELLITE PRODUCT AGAIN......!!!

AND THIS IS GOING ON EVERY SOCIAL MEDIA OUTLET I CAN FIND.......!!!!

Maybe there's a way to manually aim it? I would go to the info menu or help and check into it.

WHY WOULD I PAY $400 FOR AN AUTOMATIC DISH THAT I HAVE TO AIM MYSELF..?!?!?!??!

Hi Robert, well maybe you could still use it if you are stuck with it.

My simple answer to all auto dish antenna issues are - wtf!

I returned to a manual crank job with a sensor antenna - angle and rotate when parked, done.

I coupled that with a marine omni antenna for OTA from an ocean boat. done.

I bailed on Direct TV a decade ago - Now Dishing it. the manual with pitch meter is fine when parked - OTA from boat antenna is fine on the road.

Automatic antennas are waste - if the family is in the RV why do they need SAT TV? At the least if they are 4GLTE absorbed people they can link the devices to the LCD-tv units and suck bandwidth via the towers.

Ah heck, I am so old.I keep my funds out of the RV - not on it.

you should do a youtube on how you did all that, Mike.

same problem still remains for us, we end up in locations where the dish has to be moved to a clearing, sometimes away from the rig

I may be doing the whole "camping" thing wrong, but watching satellite TV when I'm out there is a pretty low priority. There's lots to do besides television -- go for a hike, catch a fish, chat up any neighbors, read a book, paint a picture, do something a little different than the day-in day-out routine of work, sleep, work, sleep.

Then again, I do appreciate having a good internet connection available when I need it.

we're the opposite, Gwen.

we travel for work doing trade shows 7+ months of the year - including cross-country.

After driving all day, I want to be able to sit down, eat dinner, and watch some tube... not wrestle with a dish for 20 minutes trying to get a signal.....

Our Tailgater is still working just fine.
