We just purchased a 1966 Red Dale camper in excellent condition.  It has been in storage for many years, so I'm sure we will find some things that don't work, but for its age, it's very nice.  I wish we had the manual though as we have never had a camper before and have no idea how things operate, ugh.  Luckily, my husband is an engineer and is very good at figuring things out.  First thing we are going to do is replace the axle so we have brakes on the camper, oh, and new tires, of course.  We are picking it up tomorrow.

Found out that it does have brakes, so when we put on new tires, also put on new brakes.  I can't believe how expensive it was for camper tires!

Ha, when replacing the tires and wheel bearings, found out it did have brakes.  Spent $500 just for that repair, and more to come.  Hubby was able to repair the toilet, he used a toilet plunger to replace the bad part!  He is now replacing the water tank that was leaking (no one knew it leaked) and repaired some rot because of the leak.  Wish he would have more time to work on it. we need to get it on the road.
