Suspension air bags 13 Replies

Has anyone replaced the coil airbags? If so how did you get them in. The instructions say to twist the air bag but I can't get it to untwist once it is in coil.

Jim, Brad and I are meeting up at Trap Pond in DE to camp weekend of June 4/5 with a bunch of other friends and family.. would be a 4 hr haul for you as its about 2 for Brad.  the more the merrier.  And Rick.. yea yea...and thankful for Brads long fingers!  LOL... it was as tight as I could get it when I put it on guessing the manuevers of the tank to shimmy it back  into place moved it enough.. ah well.

I was hoping he was closer so I could get a glimpse of Gone in person. But Edgewater Park is almost 2 hours from me. I'm way up in Northern NJ.

I will second Brads ability, he even managed to get a line on that "someone" did not get tight and it came off. This was realized after the tank was in. good thing Brad has long arms and strong fingers. I met Tina there for the first time and it was her that told me about this site. Glad she did.

G&M auto Edgewater park NJ  Brad is the proud owner of a 1972 Indian.  He doesn't have the facilities to work on big stuff for the most part but did this for me.  He is an awesome mechanic and friend.  We dropped the gas tank and replaced all rubber lines the return line had cracked.
