Robinhood Cadet Coach 1962

Hey Everyone! Brand new lovers of vintage camp trailers! We recently purchased a 15' 1962 Robin Hood Cadet Coach camp trailer and we have been looking all over to find any pictures of this kind...but we can't seem to find more than two! Does anyone know where we can find some more info on our new baby? Also, does anyone know where on earth we can find the VIN number, rather than getting a new one issued? Thanks so much!

I was told to look on the frame for the VIN number. I also have a 1962 Robing Hood. As about 98% of the frame is covered with trailer, that leaves just the tongue. I wire brushed the thing, and still couldn't come up with a VIN. However my title does have a 6 digit VIN number. Looking all over the internet yielded no VIN number found. So I went to the DMV, with the title. The agent clicked, and clacked, and found that my trailer had moved through several owners.

That is all they could tell me. I asked If I could contact a previous owner, and see if I could find any more information. But they were not able to give me that information.

So close, yet so far. It sounds as if your title does not have a VIN number? How does that square with the DMV, when it comes to a title transfer? Hmm?

    Best of luck.

Vin # on my 61 is on the top of the right side of tongue about 6 inches from cabin and only 3 inches long, right side is from the back and most campers have vin# stamped here.Try with a flashlight at different times of the day as this stamp is small and not very deep. Wire brush helps and hopefully nobody has used a grinder on the layers of paint or it may be lost.

We have been restoring a 1961 Robin Hood Cadet and would love to see any photos you have of yours.  Ours came with paperwork and a VIN # but we have not located the vin anywhere on the actual camper.
