Welcome everyone!! Hope you will help make this the best group on the site, we all know we have the very best RV's LOL. Please feel free to jump in and post all about your Holiday Rambler. Did you know that Holiday Rambler was owned by Harley Davidson in the early 1990's??
Just found a great buy at Badcock Furniture! A brand new sofa for the Aluma-lite for just $300! Tan suede and going to be tight but it will work. Will post pics of both before and after. Anyone interested in the original fold out bed and frame?
This is great to see other HR owners. I have been working on mine to get it road ready and would love to talk to other owners about stuff. I got this RV with absolutely no information about it. so I have been just stumbling around and discovering everything about it. I am also new to RVing . I just about have it ready to use . I did use it once this past fall at Assateague Island just down the road but lost my power steering during the drive. So I am getting all the belts replaced and am looking forward to getting back out soon. I want to also add solar pannels for my batteries. Can't wait.
There is a wealth of HR info on FaceBook if you happen to be a member. This is a wonderful group ready to answer all your questions. I have found them to be invaluable in our restoration. https://www.facebook.com/groups/70sholidayramblers/

Phillip, I am the current President of the HR Full Timers Chapter. I have an 02 HR Endeavor, 40 DST, Cummins 330, allison 6, been full timing in it for almost 15 years. If I can help in any way just ask. Happy travels.
I have a question for any HR owners. I have a 87 with a backup camera. Has anyone ever had to work on their camera systems ? I can't get an image. It could be an issue with the camera. It's possible that it's not getting power. I just hooked up a small backup camera on my Pickup truck so I am thinking it could be where it gets power when you put it in reverse. Does anyone have any thoughts.
I would be surprised if that's a factory camera/monitor setup, I installed all the cameras on mine and it depends on how it was powered and from where. My rearview camera is on all the time, not just as a backup camera and if it were me I would start looking for power options near the monitor where the image is produced ; IF of course this is an aftermarket setup. Generally speaking, the power comes up the wire with the image from the camera and breaks out often times with an inline fuse. If it's rigged only for backup purposes, they can be tapped into the steering column, or the backup-light power circuit. If you can locate that power lead going back to the camera, then you can at least find out if it's getting power. If it is, then maybe swap out the camera with a new one, they're cheap on Ebay and will unplug from the cable going forward pretty easily. Let me know if I can be more help!
Looking for information on wiring thats in the original house battery location. ( Ill post a picture or two of it) I have moved them and temporarily have extended the cables and such. I have all the paperwork, manual etc on this but it does not show or list what's what.

Hi Glinda, how do you like your Ford chassis? Any issues? I've always had good luck with my Ford powered motor homes.

I start her up every week with no problems. She's on a half tank and I'm gonna take her out for a spin soon and top her off.
