Well here we go again. Let's see if I can figure out how to work this computer stuff and how to post properly.

  • Lydia Krohmer

Well, you did it TJ. Just don't go to the chat room. I can't figure that out.

  • T.J.

Ok, so now I have tons of material, manuals for the Dodge Chassis, Fixing the Coach and other manuals for the Winnebago, links to Winnebago stuff. Is there a spot  here were we can post this stuff and make it available to the Winnebago gang?

  • Jimco_W001

Hi TJ, you should be able to add your info by clicking Add a Page. I have added two pages there already.

Let me know how that goes if you have a problem and welcome to the Group!

  • T.J.

Hey Jim, couldn't find add a page?

  • Rick Faunce

I figured I have a Winnebago so I should be here. I am nort really sure how to navigate around this site yet so adding pictures is beyond me at this point.

  • T.J.

Yep! Your in the right spot. Welcome aboard. I just came on yesterday and am in the same boat. Looking around trying to figure out how to post as well.

  • Robert Daggett

we are all in the same boat i think lol
  • Jimco_W001

Hi TJ, I see the problem. Hang in there. I'm working on it.

  • T.J.

Ok bud. Is there going to be a place where we can up load stuff such a furnace manuals, coach repair manual, Dodge Chassis manual, Dodge parts manual, Winnebago operators manual. Stuff like that and were the folks can down load if for themselves.

  • Jimco_W001

Hey TJ, you can add things by using the group Discussion Forum.

But I'm looking into another option as well so that you will be able to add Pages to the Winnebago Group. Wait till I get back to you.

  • T.J.

Take your time. There's no rush. I've been collecting stuff I think some of the Classic guys and some of the new guys looking to restore one of the 66's to 78 Eyebrow's will find enlightening and use full.
  • Robert Daggett

TJ i got a 1976 eyebrow wrapped around a Dodge what all do you have to cover it besides the manuals from the mfg that comes with it ?

  • T.J.

I have a factory manual from Winnebago that shows how to replace just about everything on the body. Windshield, doors, windows, window trim, you name it it's pretty much covered. I've got the Dodge motorhome Chassis manual, Dodge motorhome parts manual. Geeeesss. As soon as Jim and I can get it figured out how I can post it I'll post what I've got. I just don't want to overload the site.

  • Jenny Hagen

FOR POSTING MANUALS.   I did see someone posted a dropbox link (just in a discussion thread on this site)  for the 1984 winnebago manual, 131 pages.  i clicked it and it worked AWESOME.  i was able to download and save on my computer.  I just bought a 1984 Elanden.  someone tore off the ID sticker, so i am still trying to figure out the model, but its a chevy.  It has been abused :( but is still very cool.  pics to come soon.  I will say, had i not downloaded the manual before i drove it home, i wouldnt have made it as i ran out of gas.. gauge not working.  so once i figure out who posted that I'm gonna say thanks to them!!

  • Cristina Gouin

Jenny - you most likely have the P-30 chasis... and I have the manual for that.. I have a 1987 (Rogue Tiffin owner on this winne forum :-) )

  • T.J.

Any of the lads looking for the Factory brochure on their rigs might want to check out this link.

TJ, do you see  +Add  a Page in the Pages box now?

I made you a moderator for the Winnebago Group. So let me know.

    Please don't delete it!

  • T.J.

Ok, I see a  to my right a box that says Pages (2) Original Winnebago Group in Rv Forums Winnebago Industries. +Add a page. Is that the add a page your talking about?

  • Jimco_W001

Yes TJ, click on +Add a Page. Then title it and add what you have there. Then click save. You can make as many as you want to. Thanks for your help.

  • Jimco_W001

TJ, I added a page to the group and put your ebay link there that you have posted in discussions. Do you see how that works?. Have you tried to add a page to the Winnebago Group?

  • T.J.

Ok just gave it a shot and I think it worked. I'll try a few more tomorrow.

  • T.J.

Ok, Jim I think I might have it. Check out Why Winnebago Is Number 1 and see if that's ok with you?

  • Jimco_W001

Thanks TJ, looks good. Thanks for sharing!

  • T.J.

Hohohoho Sit down, strap in and hang on. You've unleashed a mad man.

  • Jenny Hagen

yes!  christina and pat paul, you're right!  it says p30 on the title.  it seems there also should be a winnebago id number on the door panel but it is ripped off.  there are at least 11 1984 elandan models on the sheet from my ins person, like wcn30rc.  the manual i downloaded keeps referencing this model or that.  i wish i knew which one i have!

  • Cristina Gouin

Jenny From what I understand the model is dependent on the floor plan... and length.  23rd = 23ft rear dinette etc.   Jimco may be able to help you decipher your floor plan into the "model"  There should be a plate somewhere though with the GVW etc on it which would list the model.  the Tifin plate is driver side under the dash along the side wall.  I know some have found theres in Winne's mounted inside a cabinet wall under over etc... then again sins of the PO abound...

  • Rick Faunce

You made TJ a MOD!!!!! You don't realize what you have now unleashed on society! The world as we know it is now going to end.

  • T.J.

Ok Rick.>GRIN< Hey Jim I added a few things I think. Did I ? and are they in the right spot? Maybe I shouldn't have asked.

  • Ralph Javins

    Good morning, Jenny Hagen;

Let's try another path for this message:

    •  Did you determine what Model Designation is appropriate for your Winnebago? It may be possible by sending an e-mail message to them at www.winnebagoind.com and ask if they can cross reference the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) for the P37 chassis over to the Winnebago Elandan body serial number they put on it, and the model designation for that body.

  • Jimco_W001

TJ, thanks again for adding all of those pages to the Group. And the world as we know it did not end! <Grin> See you at the Jamboree this summer.

  • Rick Faunce

Yea, I guess we can let him slide this time. Good job TJ.

  • T.J.

Is that a good thing or a bad thing????????????

  • Jimco_W001

I sure do like it that T.J. is adding content to our Winnebago Group. Thanks for helping out T.J.!

If anyone has any ?'s about how to do anything here at GORV's please contact me through the GORV's message system.

  • Rick Faunce

Ok, you compliment a guy and he asks if it is a good  or bad thing?

    Canadians

    ?????

  • Cristina Gouin

ya know.. we Canadians are nice like that (claiming half canadian).. right on!

  • Rick Faunce

Jim, I got an e-mail notice that you replied to this discussion but I cannot see it here? I am having a hard time navigating around here. The note said your comment was welcoming all Canadians since they are such nice people. Please, I hope none of you thought I was serious with my ribbing of TJ!! This is a carry over from another site. If I could take the cold I would have moved to Canada many years ago. I have a twisted sense of humor that sometimes gets me in trouble with people that do not know me. Sorry if I offended anyone.

  • Robert Daggett

tj your genset info is great but i think if you made a pdf file it would have been easier to read wont this accept a pdf or dont your scanner convert to a pdf file?

  • T.J.

Boy you don't want much.>GRIN< I thought I was doing good just figuring out how to turn the computer on. >GRIN< I don't know what you just said but I'll ask the wife if she knows what your talking about and if she can show me how to do it. I have some other stuff I think you folks might find useful so I'll see what I can do. I think it was a good suggestion. Thanks.

  • Robert Daggett

TJ a pdf file uses less drive space as well and reads like a book you scan the same way but chang from jpg to pdf in your setting on you scanner control pannel
  • T.J.

    >GRIN< Good stuff! But you have to understand I don't even own a cell phone. If you want to phone me I still use my bell black dial phone on a long cord don't I Jim.

  • Robert Daggett

TJ I would give my eye theath for one of them instead of this dumb smart phone lol
  • Jimco_W001

Hi TJ, I started a discussion for the Winnes for sale you had on the comment wall. You can start your own discussion and add them there next time. Does this work for you?

  • Jimco_W001

Hi Rick, speaking of Canadians. Were is TJ? He must be out making improvements to his Winnebago

  • T.J.

Sorry guys looking after an ailing parent  1 hr 10 away. Looks like I'll be missing for a bit. Or till we get things straighten  out. I'll try to stay tuned in.

  • Jimco_W001

Welcome to all the Winnebago owners that have joined!

Wow, we are #1 when it comes to members in a group here at Good Old RV's. Check out all the new pages that TJ has added to the group.

  • Jimco_W001

TJ, I hope everything turns out OK. Thanks for all your help by adding those great pages to the Winnebago group.

  • Ralph Javins

    Good morning, all;

Well, I did survive the weekend, but there were a couple of moments there. For me, it was a discouraging weekend. For the other major participant, it was a very bad weekend indeed.

Ending score for the weekend: Winnebago, 1; Deer, 0.

Actually, she would have been fine if she had just kept going, but when she turned around and tried to rung bac the other way, there was no way I could avoid her then.

The plastic front grille on the Elandan is damaged. I did hear that there is a company in Florida who may still be making plastic grilles for older motor homes. Now if I can just get more specific information on who they are, . . .

    Enjoy; Ralph, Latté Land, Washington

  • Frank Grasha

You performed well Ralph, TIP: Never try to steer away from hitting anything that jumps out in frt of you . You will only create energys that cant be controlled, Slow down as quickly as possible (checking the view to the rear  don't put a tractor trailer into a panic stop ) You will only suffer much worse  , Don't try to lock up the brakes, You will only discover all the items you did not store properly (they will try to kill you) . Slow as quickly as is safe Pull over in a safe spot (there are none on a traveled part of an interstate) turn on your 4 ways cfarefully exit and check for any fluid leaks or fires from shorted wireing etc. If all is ok procede to a better spot Then make any necc repairs to continue on , Unless it is a human who was involved , They are no longer your concern Shi-  Happens !  Whole different set of circumstances if a person is injured Use your head Don't lose it !

  • Rick Faunce

It usually pays to call the police to report the accident if there is any vehicle damage. In some states that is a requirement. Nothing will be done in the way of tickets, it is just a formality to make sure nobody was hurt and there is not property damage outside of your own vehicle and the animal. Sometimes they will just ask if there was anybody else involved an you say no and that is the end of it but better safe than sorry and having an officer show up at you doorstep with a warrant for leaving the scene of an accident several weeks later. Yea, I live in Sue Jersey, can you tell?
