Hi Steve, Wondering what type of trailer you have?  Sounds like you're where I "wannabe"!  dog for company and fishing!  sounding great!  I'm hoping to find a '59 or older canned ham, still looking.

Don't know about the potty situation.  I was actually told I shouldn't bother with one because the tanks, hoses, etc. are messy.  But I think that person thought I'd be going to campgrounds all the time.....not really interested in that, I'd be boondocking mostly, by preference and need.  Anyway, nice to meet you...so to speak.  helen

Sorry, didn't get the detailed message, Steve.  I'm sure there's got to be one out there with my name on it, we just haven't met up yet. LOL.  I do plan to travel around Texas a bit before venturing further out....but sure am racking up a list of places I want to see though!  Some of the places I've seen pictures of on here are just beautiful and those streams/rivers just have to have trout in them.....also with my name on them.  Where are you headed off to...if I may ask?   Helen

LOL........hi Steve!  Love the "bird bath" comment.  I've done that many times while tent camping.  I used one of those water bags that I put out in the sun in the morning, went fishing or hiking, and then came back for a quick shower...very quick, water never really got warm enough but I had no problem with it.  Welll, I just haven't found my trailer yet.  I have to be particular since I'm limited in funds, but I'll definitely go for it when I find what I want.  Thanks, Helen

A youngster. :)  I have an '06 Nissan Frontier.  It'll take 3500 lb, but I don't intend to push it.  I keep it maintained and will probably get new tires and have everything checked thoroughly once I'm ready to get on the road.  I've been told my trailer will need to be under 2000 lb. so I've been looking for 10-14 footer. Wanted to put a camper shell on truck for additional storage and a place for my dogs to stretch out but I'll have to see what one of those will weigh.  First time or two out I probably won't have much with me, just to see what I really, really can't do without. The boondocking is a must for me, I just won't be able to afford to stay in campgrounds on a daily basis.  I'd rather go fishing anyway, and I've heard dogs in campgrounds aren't always welcome.  So, that's it.  Still looking.  Helen

Hi Steve,  Unfortunately mine is not in great shape but I'm working on it.  I've had some setbacks but that's life.  Hope to get "Doodles" out this spring.  Don't gag, I'm probably going to change the name again, LOL.

Wow, you really lucked out!  $300 in good shape!  I'm so impressed.

    Happy Holidays!

I have a weiner mix...Dixie.  Sounds like a herd of buffalo when she's running through the house.  Ornery, feisty and a royal pain.  sleeps with me every night....but that's mainly because I can't keep her out of the bed!  She literally throws herself against the door until I give in.   LOL.  h

Hi Steve, hope you're doing well. I'm hoping to get more work done on my Santa Fe in early spring....last summer the heat was difficult to deal with and when I was putting the edge trim back on, the butyl tape would melt! And this fall we've had loads of rain....talk about poor timing! So, anyway, I'm hoping I can get it at least into some kind of decent shape ...at least watertight...so I can go fishing, that's all I ask for.
Well, Dixie is a rescue dog.....I keep ending up with various dogs because I used to be in an animal rescue group. She was left on a second floor balcony day and night, very little water, no shelter from the sun, and she had to poop and pee out there. Any messes were just swept off. My sister finally talked the owner into giving her up and of course, she ended up with me, supposedly temporarily but she's still here. It was my understanding she was fixed but it's turned out that wasn't true. At the worst time possible I've got to scrape up bucks for her spaying......but I'll get it done somehow. Anyway...Dixie joined my zoo about 4 months ago and has been terrorizing everyone ever since.
