Tell us a little About Yourself
My wife and I starting Rving about five years ago with a new travel trailer and loved it, but thought that maybe a class A would be more fun on the trip to and from the destination. So, we got rid of the travel trailer and purchased a 1984 Winnebago Chieftain and remodeled it! We have owned the Winnebago for about two years now and find it so much more fun than our travel trailer was!

Chris,  That's funny!  When I brought it home the other day the first thing my wife did was bring the carpet cleaner out!  I washed the outside and did the windows.  This RV has been sitting for a few years, but I think we can make it work for us.  We really don't have any plans on going anywhere with it for now.  We have our adult kids that come down just about every weekend, so maybe just use it as a cheap room addition for now!  lol  As we make some changes I will post!  My wife seen your pic's today and went nuts...  I told her not to get any idea's, not yet anyway!  Thanks for your post!  Richard

We love our Chiefton too.  Our only concern is the cloth interior roof, it sags in places, yours looks great. thanks  to the connection  Al& Mino

    Hey Chris,

My friend just purchased a 1984 22ft Itasca Sunflyer. Everything is almost original, with some extra love needed on the ceiling, and dinette. That being said. Do you have a pre-trip checklist prior to departure(that may be specific to this model)?

Your MH is makes me envious, very very nice!

No, I don't have a specific pretrip. Atleast nothing different than anything you can find online. Because of the motorhomes age we generally run everything a week before a trip to make sure it still works. Thank for the compliment.
