Tell us a little About Yourself
I just made a purchase of a 1960's Manorette that I want to restore and eventually travel with. I'm a veteran Marine and very active with the local VFW and the Ladies Auxilliary Senior VP. I am not a war vet, but support the efforts of our veterans. I will one day become more involved and will need to do more travelling. The Manorette is already camoflogue, due to it being used priorly as a hunting trailer. I'm looking for info on vintage restores and vintage camping groups.
Hi Jean wanted to welcome you and yours and to let you know if need any advise let me know . My wife and I have done three restores and loved every minute. we currently have a 1968 Travelmaster we redid to our needs but love it good luck and have fun
Such a shame what they did with it! Well let me know we have a 1963 here that we took the water heater & screen door out of but everything else is in very good shape. The people that we bought it from camped in it till last Nov. Does have a furance and all the cushions - table - stove - sink - bathroom sink all in good shape.
How many do you need? You might have to cut them down and I assume you are recovering them any way - right? Any thing else that you need for your camper? We might be able to work out a package deal and can talk about price then and see what we can work out. We will be home next weekend (23rd) but then the next 2 weekends after that we are gone camping & then should be home the 7-14 weekend. Let me know what your interested in. We never use the vents in the ceiling and my husband sealed them up from the top so they wouldn't leak so that I'm be a easy fix for you. Also check Menards cleance section for table top materials to fix your table - got ours cheap (for under $10.00 and enought to do counter & table becuz it was chipped on corners - can work around that). Ours was in better shape but we only do a little every yr & we did the floor had to replace the tiles ( again Menards cheap tiles 25 cents a piece - we didn't restore ours just are making it livable for camping) & we bought the used camper for parts.
So hope this helps and let me know what works for you.
